Volunteering at Nauset Light is fun and rewarding!

You get to meet nice people from around the world who are excited to climb the lighthouse. You’ll tell our visitors the history of Nauset Light and collect donations to help us keep the lighthouse, oil house and keeper’s house operating.  Our organization is entirely run by volunteers — we have no paid staff.

We are especially in need of tour guides. The more guides we have, the more days we can open the lighthouse to the public. Last year we welcomed more than 6,000 visitors to our scheduled open house tours. We'll train you, and then you can choose how many days you'd like to volunteer. Typically our tours are on Wednesdays and Sundays from mid-May through the end of October (see our tour schedule).

If tour guiding is not your thing, we have other ways that you can help support Nauset Light behind the scenes. Let us know how you’d like to contribute.

I’m interested in volunteering at Nauset Light!
